Dark red to purple, round, 1/2" across fruit with excellent tangy acidic flavor. Some varieties are yellow-orange.
Description: Shrub or tree, up to 50ft.
Hardiness: Hardy to short frost, to the upper 20's (F).
Growing Environment: Grows well in dry and moist climates. Can be kept small.
Propagation: By seeds.
Uses: Usually eaten fresh. Also used in beverages, as well as fermented and used in alcoholic drinks.
Native Range: Native to Central and South America (through Northern Brazil), and the Caribbean.
