Somewhat similar to both the java apple and wax jambu, the pink or red-fleshed water apple is usually much smaller in size. The flesh has a very mild, watery flavor.
Medium-large sized tree to 40-50ft.
Water apple's prefer warm, humid climates, with rainfall distributed throughout the year.
Usually by seeds. Can be grafted onto close relatives such as the java apple.
Native range extends from India through Malaysia.
