Dark purple, almost bluish fruits with quite good, grape-berry flavored pulp.
Description: Slow growing, small tree or bush, usually to around 6ft. Fruits are
borne in late Spring or early Fall. A single bush may produce several thousand fruits.
Hardiness: Hardiness is unknown, but is likely hardy to 28-32F.
Growing Environment: Probably similar to the Jaboticaba, but exact cultural information is unknown.
Propagation: By seeds.
Uses: Usually eaten fresh or used in drinks. The blue grape is little known in cultivation, yet the fruits are of equal or superior quality to any other Myrciaria.
Native Range: Native to the Americas.
