Native to drier areas of Brazil and some parts of the Caribbean. Little known, but occasionally cultivated for its edible fruits. Grows to 13 ft / 4 m. May show light frost tolerance and could be tried where Surinam Cherries or Cedar Bay Cherries do well. Seeds are fresh, cannot be stored and should be planted on receipt. #4366
