Eugenia angustissima - Very Fine Leafed Cherry

1 seed per pack. Please note: many of the seeds in this batch are beginning to germinate. Not a cherry, but a rare edible fruit from central Brazil. Short and shubby, to 3-6 ft / 1-2, with thin leaves that almost look like pine needles. It bears small, fleshy, dark red to black colored fruits with a flavor that all sources describe as "sweet and pleasant". Ornamental, edible, and rare. Unknown frost tolerance, but may be similar to other local Eugenia species. #5263
