Yellow-orange ripening guava, usually small, about the size of the strawberry guava. The flavor is acidic and tart, but quite tasty, having overtones of citrus and floral perfume.
Description: Medium sized tree or bush.
Hardiness: This guava is subtropical and can survive some frost.
Growing Environment: Little cultural information is available although there are full-grown specimens in Southern California that flower and produce fruit.
Propagation: By seeds.
Uses: Eaten fresh.
Native Range: Native to Southern Mexico and Central America.
