One of a number of guava and perfume guava relatives, this bearing small, round, orange fruits (to 1") with a sweet flavor.
Description: A semi-deciduous tree growing to 15-35 feet. Has frilly white flowers characteristic of the guava's. In its native range, flowering generally occurs from September through November, with fruits ripening shortly after flowering, in 1-2 months.
Hardiness: Unknown. Probably not frost hardy.
Growing Environment: Unknown.
Propagation: By seeds.
Uses: Fruits are eaten fresh out of hand. While appreciated, the tree is not cultivated.
Native Range: Native to Atlantic forests from Espirito Santo through Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
