Xylopia aethiopica - Ethiopian Pepper

$3.00

Out of stock

10 seeds per pack. A medium sized tropical tree bearing narrow, multi-lobed fruits that are used as a spice, with similarities to black pepper. The tree is unrelated to both black pepper and hot peppers, and rather is part of the custard apple family, related to the sugar apple. The narrow fruits are dried and crushed, having a lovely, aromatic scent. Tree grows to 30-45 ft / 10-15 m. Not frost tolerant, does best in a humid, tropical climate. #4885
