10 seeds per pack. A vigorous wild grape species, producing clusters of small, round fruits that ripen to a deep blue-black. The berries have a bold, intensely flavored flesh that is tart and mildly astringent when eaten fresh, with fruits commonly used for juice, wine, and preserves. Native to the forests of northeastern China and Korea. Deciduous vines that can reach 10 - 15 meters / 30 - 50 ft. Also features attractive, lobed leaves that turn deep red in autumn. Exceptionally cold-hardy relative to most grape species, tolerating temperatures as low as -40¡C (-40¡F). It is widely regarded as a valuable rootstock and breeding species for introducing cold hardiness into cultivated grape varieties. #5144
