25 seeds per pack. A shrubby, deciduous plant, native to China and parts of southeast Asia. The very small fruits are said to be edible, with an acidic flavor. It also has medicinal and industrial uses, owing to dyes and oils obtained from the plant. In parts of Asia it is a popular ornamental, with extensive flower blooms and colorful fruits. Shrubby habit to 25 ft / 9 m. While it grows well in tropical climates, it is also freeze hardy down to zone 6-8, making it suitable for some temperate areas as well. #5201
