Garcinia gerardii - Forest Mangosteen

3 seeds per pack. An interesting mangosteen relative native to India. It bears small yellow fruits that can grow up to an inch across. The tree has some medicinal uses as well as being an attractive ornamental. The fruits are likely edible, but not particularly esteemed for fresh eating. A small to medium sized, shrubby tree up to 5-10 m (15-30 ft). Frost hardiness unknown. Male and female flowers are born on separate plants. #3907
