Eugenia sp. - Belize Blackberry

5 seeds per pack. A desirable Eugenia native to Central America, specifically Belize. The small fruits ripen to deep purple-black, with juicy, tart pulp that is used in beverages, classically rum and other alcoholic drinks. We weren't able to pin down a species for this. It could be a type of rumberry (Eugenia floribunda), but appears distinct. Medium to large tree. Fruits abundantly. Seems to have some subtropical tolerance and might survive brief frosts. #4542
