The fruits are juicy, with a tasty and unique flavor that is said to combine grapefruit with nut-like overtones. Fruits can be eaten fresh, but also have potential for uses as a flavoring. Short, bushy shrub, growing to 2 m / 6 ft. Notable for having a xylopodium, a caudex like, woody, underground storage root. Seeds are fresh, cannot be stored and should be planted on receipt. #5396
