Acer macrophyllum - Bigleaf Maple

5 seeds per pack. A medium to large sized maple, known for its huge leaves---the biggest of any maple---which can reach up to a foot across. Also popular for its bright, canary yellow colored fall foliage. Native to the coastal hills and mountains of the Pacific Northwest, from Northern California up to British Columbia. Similar to the sugar maple, edible (and tasty) syrup can be extracted from the trunk. Typically grows to 65 ft / 20 m, but some trees have topped well over 100 feet! #3849
