This dioecious species is prized for its small, ovoid fruits covered in distinctive reddish scales, which grow in clusters near the base of the plant. The flesh is sweet and tangy with a juicy texture and no heat. It thrives in warm, humid, frost-free environments with rich, well-drained soil, preferring partial to full shade. Clustering growth to 3 m / 10 ft. Seeds are fresh, cannot be stored and should be planted on receipt. #1274
