It features multiple slender, ringed trunks that develop from the base, topped with arching, pinnate fronds. Bright red, ovoid fruits, ripen in clusters, providing a bust of ornamental color in season. Grows to 10 m / 33 ft. A popular ornamental and indoor plant, as it adapts nicely to container culture. Does well in both subtropical and tropical climates, with very mild frost tolerance to a couple of degrees below freezing. Seeds are fresh, cannot be stored and should be planted on receipt. #1278
