Originally from mountainous regions in India, this species is one of the most cold hardy banana's, with roots hardy to 10-15 degrees below freezing, with even leaves withstanding light frosts. Can grow tall, up to 20-35 feet. Features large, ornamental leaves with dark green coloration. Produces large clusters of seedy fruits. #4898
