5 seeds per pack. A fascinating and little known fruit from the tomato family, harvested for many decades in a semi-wild state in parts of Mexico. The small fruits are green, with a succulent sweet-acidic flavor. While often eaten raw, they can be dried like raisins and even used in preserves. The fruits are high in vitamin C. Unlike tomatoes, it is a perennial and was often left untouched when fields were cleared for farming, along with being currently grown commercially on a small scale. Small, herbaceous plant, growing to just 1-2 ft. Very rare! Likely does well in tropical and cool, relatively frost free climates. #4552 Out of stock. Last available: 11/25/2018 - 12/10/2020
