1 seed per pack. a.k.a. Hexachlamys edulis. An interesting Eugenia relative from South America, bearing 2" / 5 cm edible fruits having a peach-like flavor. Seeds are from a prolific tree with high quality fruits. The fruits are quite juicy, with some tartness, and ripen to yellow-orange. Overly ripe fruits are sometimes described as having garlicky overtones, but this seems to vary widely. Small tree to 25 ft / 8m. This species shows very nice subtropical cold tolerance, surviving mild freezes and frosts. Unknown minimum temperature tolerance, but at least to the low or mid 20's F. Seeds are fresh, cannot be stored and should be planted on receipt. #4541
