1 seed per pack. A very rare relative of the black sapote and persimmon, native to Western Africa. Bears small, edible red fruits with a sweet pulp that are sold in some local markets in West Africa, particularly Cameroon. Also features colorful flowers and ebony-like wood. Little cultural information is available about this species. Likely tropical. Some Diospyros are dioecious, needing both a male and female to bear fruit. It is not known whether this species is dioecious or not. #3955 Out of stock. Last available: 8/19/2017 - 10/6/2017
