(Brassica oleracea) 500 seeds per pack. A medium-tall, heavy yielding variety producing firm, 3Ð4 cm dark green sprouts along the stem from mid to late fall. Flavor is sweet and nutty after light frost exposure, with classic mild cabbage-brassica character and low bitterness. Developed on Catskill Mountain farms in New York and introduced commercially by the Fredonia Seed Company around 1941. Good cold tolerance and will withstand hard frosts to 15F once established. #5551
