10 seeds per pack. A large, rosette-forming succulent native to the Oaxacan highlands of southern Mexico. It is among the agave species traditionally harvested for mezcal production in Oaxaca. Features broad, rigid blue-green to gray-green leaves with finely toothed edges. Young flower stalks and emerging flower clusters are also edible when roasted, and the sap is used to make a traditional fermented beverage. Plants perform best in USDA zones 9 through 11 in full sun and well-drained soil, with strong drought tolerance once established. #4956
