1 seed per pack. Please note that a few of the seeds in this batch are beginning to germinate. A rare, edible berry native to South Florida, in the Miami-Dade county area. It bears small, edible fruits that ripen to dark purple and are said to have a mildly sweet flavor similar to the rumberry. Part of the myrtle family, it is related to other Myrica and Eugenia species. Also notable for its uniquely spicy-scented foliage and profuse, fragrant white blossoms. Very popular with birds. Seldom seen in cultivation. Hardy to very brief and mild frosts. Seeds are fresh, cannot be stored and should be planted on receipt. #4808
