1 seed per pack. A very interesting perennial climber native to Costa Rica. It is related to the popular Chayote Squash, but little known outside of its small native range. It produces 2-3" long green fruits that are eaten when immature. Once boiled, they are said to have a flavor mixing zucchini and avocado, with nutty overtones. The leaves have edible uses as well. Similar to the chayote, the entire fruit is planted in the ground, allowing the seed inside to sprout. #4554
