Diospyros texana - Texas Persimmon

8 seeds per pack. A small, black persimmon native to Texas, north to parts of Oklahoma and south into northern Mexico. Fruits grow to about an inch, with black skin and black pulp, which has a sweet flavor. The fruits can be used in custards and desserts and are historically used as a source of black dye. Grows to 10-25 feet, though occasionally taller. Frost and some freeze hardiness. #2453
