Description

Small to medium sized bushy tree to 15-20ft. Tree is a nitrogen-fixer.

Hardiness

Tolerates temperatures to the mid to high 20's (F).

Growing Environment

Grows well in dry climates. Water occasionally, will tolerate mild droughts. Grows well in most soil types and will stand salt spray. Fast-growing.

By seeds.

Uses

Usually planted as an ornamental, but its flowers are edible and a yellow dye can be obtained from them as well. Crushed roots smell like garlic.
