Very similar to the ice cream bean, the inga acu is said to be only a close second in flavor. Fruit is a long, slightly twisted pod, up to 12+ inches, with white pulp.
Medium to large sized tree up to 30-90 feet tall.
Generally eaten fresh.
Native to the Brazilian Amazon and north to the Guiana's. This inga is cultivated as well as wild harvested, and its fruits are often available in Amazonian markets.
