Giant, salmon-orange colored ornamental flowering shrub. Flowers grow up to two feet long.
Description: Small shrub or tree, usually to 10-15ft. This species tends to produce the largest flowers of any Brugmansia. Large flowers are followed by thin, long greenish yellow fruits. Fruits are poisonous, do not eat.
Hardiness: Grows best in warmer subtropical to tropical climates. Will take short frosts.
Growing Environment: Water frequently, except during cold spells. Grows in both filtered sun and shade. Grow in full sun in cooler areas.
Propagation: By seed or cuttings.
Uses: Commonly planted as an ornamental in subtropical areas. Most parts of the plant are highly poisonous and should not be ingested.
Native Range: Native to mountainous regions of Ecuador.
