Medium sized fruit (3-4"), with yellow-orange, mildly spiny skin. Pulp is orange, sub-acid, and lacking odor, unlike most other Artocarpus species.
Description: Very large tree, over 100ft when mature.
Hardiness: Unknown. Probably not frost hardy.
Growing Environment: Little cultural information is available, although the tree is supposedly a bit hardier than the common jackfruit, and can be used as a rootstock for the jackfruit.
Propagation: By seed. Seeds must be planted immediately upon harvest.
Uses: Fruits are eaten fresh.
Native Range: Native to Burma, Malaysia, (peninsular and Borneo), and Indonesia (Sumatra, Java). The tree is cultivated in parts of Southeast Asia.
