Small, cylindrical fruit with fairly smooth skin. Pulp has a sweet, juicy, yet creamy texture. Less fibrous and acidic than the jackfruit.
Description: Large rainforest-native tree.

Growing Environment: Needs heavy irrigation year-round. Little studied.
Propagation: By seeds.
Uses: Eaten fresh and used to make ice cream. Young fruits are eaten as vegetables.
Native Range: Native to Malaysia and Indonesia.
