Description: Very fast-growing vine that can grow a few dozen feet in a season. Flowers are ornate, white and purple and fruits follow, which ripen to purple. The orange pulp might be edible.
Hardiness: To at least 32F, some sources claim as low as 15-20F.
Growing Environment: Grows well in full sun or filtered sun. Vine is very fast growing and once established is quite vigorous. Water regularly.
Propagation: By cuttings, by seeds.
Uses: Grown as an ornamental. Not cultivated for its fruits.
Native Range: Native to parts of Central and South America.
