Growing Environment: Subtropical, grows in most soil types, provided they are well draining. It is naturally adapted to mountainous rain forests, so it is adapted well to cooler temperatures and humidity.

Uses: Fruits are eaten raw, or processed for juices, desserts, and flavorings.
Native Range: Native extends from Mexico through South America. Cultivated in many parts of its native range for its edible fruit.
