Sweet Granadilla
Passiflora ligularis

Orange-yellow colored passion fruit, having some of the better tasting pulp of the passion fruits.

Description: A fairly fast-growing vining plant that can grow many feet in a single season.

Hardiness: A subtropical species, will stand light frosts.

Growing Environment: Subtropical, grows in most soil types, provided they are well draining. It is naturally adapted to mountainous rain forests, so it is adapted well to cooler temperatures and humidity.

Propagation: By seed.

Uses: Fruits are eaten raw, or processed for juices, desserts, and flavorings.

Native Range: Native extends from Mexico through South America. Cultivated in many parts of its native range for its edible fruit.
