A still rare Passiflora discovered only recently (1977), with bright, sunshine yellow flowers and variegated foliage.

Description: Fairly fast-growing vine, though delicate in appearance. The ornate yellow flowers are about 1" across and this species is one of the parents of the popular P. 'Sunburst'. From the Decaloba subsection.

Hardiness: Hardy to at least 32F, possibly lower.

Growing Environment: Grows best in moderate, warm climates, with minimal frost and temperatures rarely exceeding 95-100F. Grow in full sun or filtered sun. Water regularly. Makes a great container specimen.

Propagation: Seeds or rooted cuttings.

Uses: A beautiful ornamental, sometimes cultivated, though some popular hybrids have been derived from this species.

Native Range: The central mid-elevation (5000ft) mountains of Costa Rica.
