A little known fruit tree bearing round 1-1 1/2" fruits that can ripen to yellow or green. There are a few different naturally occurring varieties that have varying fruit colors. Pulp is said to be aromatic and quite sweet in flavor.
Description: A small, deciduous tree growing to 10-25 feet. Has long, tubular, fragrant white flowers.

Uses: Fruits can be eaten fresh when extra ripe. They are also used to make beverages and ice cream. The fruits are collected wild in their native range. Rarely cultivated.
