Cherry sized fruit with a red to yellow skin and a juicy, slightly tart white pulp. Highly esteemed in Borneo.
Description: Small or medium sized tree a bit like the mangosteen in appearance.
Hardiness: Unknown.
Growing Environment: Seems to prefer a humid tropical environment.
Propagation: By seeds.
Uses: Eaten fresh out of hand or dried and used for flavoring other foods.
Native Range: Native to the island of Borneo, occurs naturally both in Brunei and Malaysia. Occasionally cultivated, but frequently grown as a dooryard tree throughout the region.
