A much lesser known sapote having 2-3", brown skinned fruits with yellow-white flesh. The pulp is somewhat starchy, with a mildly sweet flavor.
Description: A medium sized evergreen tree growing to 30-75 feet.
Hardiness: Unknown, but probably not too frost hardy.
Growing Environment: Grows naturally in a humid environment, but exact cultural information is not known.
Propagation: By seeds.
Uses: Fruits are said to be edible, but the tree is not cultivated.
Native Range: Native to the humid Atlantic forests of Brazil, from Southern Bahia to Minas Gerais.
