Baseball sized, yellow skinned fruit with a flavor supposedly resembling a mangosteen.
Description: Unrelated to the tropical mangosteen, the Yellow Mangosteen is a small tree, usually growing to only 10-20ft. White flowers are borne during some seasons and have a pleasant gardenia-like scent (the Yellow Mangosteen is related to the common gardenia).
Hardiness: Unknown.
Growing Environment: Cultural information is scarce,
but trees seem to grow well in moist, warm environments, though they
are probably hardy to brief frosts.
