An extraordinarily rare fruit from the jungles of Borneo. The fruits are large, weighing up to two pounds, and round, with brown skin. Pulp is white, very sweet, with tart overtones, and is delicious.

Description: Large growing jungle liana. Reportedly a heavy bearer, with fruiting on and off throughout the year.

Hardiness: Unknown, but likely not frost or freeze hardy.

Growing Environment: Adapted to a humid, tropical environment.

Propagation: By seeds.

Uses: Fruits are eaten fresh. The species is not cultivated, but wild fruits are gathered and sold in some local markets of Borneo.

Native Range: Native to the jungles of Borneo.
