Wild Custard Apple
Annona senegalensis

Small to medium sized custard apple like fruit, flavor like the custard apple but with pineapple and apricot overtones. Popular in Africa.

Description: Medium sized tree or shrub to 15-20ft. Deciduous.

Hardiness: Unknown.

Growing Environment: Grows best in low and mid-elevation tropical climates. It may grow in drier areas as long as the roots have continuous access to water.

Propagation: By seeds.

Uses: The fruit is eaten fresh. Leaves and flowers are also eaten.

Native Range: Widespread throughout tropical Africa, often growing in Savannah regions. Occurs from the Nile River area to South Africa.
