| Indian PC-1 Pepper | |
| Capsicum annuum |

A very confusing pepper. The most common pepper of this name is a C. annuum type, with slender, tapered fruits that are moderate to spicy hot. Various claims have been made of a "super-hot" Indian PC-1, but it has yet to surface and may actually be a reference to one of the Jolokia group. The super hot type (if it exists) would likely be C. chinense. There is also supposedly a C. frutescens type, though it remains rare. By far the majority, if not all of the peppers sold as "Indian PC-1" are the moderately hot, C. annuum type.
Maturity: 80-90 days.
Heat:
Hot.
Origin: Varietal from India.
