Large, 5-8", brown skinned fruit with orange yellow pulp having a sweet flavor.
Description: Very large tree up to 150ft. Fruits take 9-12 months to mature.
Hardiness: Trees are not very hardy and don't do well outside of warm tropical climates, free of frost.

Uses: Fruits are eaten fresh.
Native Range: Native from southern Mexico through Panama. The sunsapote is rarely grown commercially although fruits are sometimes available in local markets.
