Uses

Usually eaten fresh. Also used to make soft drinks.

Plant Cultivation

Small shrub or tree to 15ft. The branches and leaves are covered with hairs. The phalsa is somewhat frost hardy but also grows well in tropical regions.
Propagation: Usually by seed.

Origin and Distribution

Native to India and southeast Asia.
