| Lilac Fuchsia | |
| Fuchsia arborescens |

Large flower clusters containing dozens of individual flowers can be born year round. Small, berry-like, pretty dark-purple fruits ripen and are reportedly edible, with a mildly sweet flavor.

Hardiness: Hardy into the 20's (F).
Growing Environment: Grows best in part shade or shade. Needs regular watering and moist, well-drained soil.
Propagation: By seeds and by cuttings.

Uses: Grown mainly as an ornamental for its flowers and foliage. The fruits are edible and both fruits and flowers are popular with birds.
