Description: Small or medium sized tree up to 30ft. Small red flowers are borne in late Fall-early Winter.

Uses: Eaten fresh, or used in beverages and preserves.

Native Range: Native to wet rainforest regions of Amazonia and Eastern Brazil, often near river banks and swamps. Rarely cultivated.
