A Russian heirloom that has now been popularized in the United States. Produces flattened, beefsteak-like fruits that grow to 3-4". The fruits ripen to a dark red-black color and tend to have green shoulders. Flavor is quite rich and very tasty. The variety is named for Paul Robeson, a well-known actor, performer and activist.
