A large, deep-red/black beefsteak-like tomato. Skin and flesh is very dark. This tomato is exceedingly rare yet highly desirable, both for taste and appearance. Great flavor, rich with sweet, wine-like overtones. Fruits are soft and lush, with ample juice. The Amazon Chocolate rates well among the best of the black tomatoes, with similarities to the Black Brandywine. Fruits can grow to about a pound, sometimes a bit more.
