Medium sized, dark purple fruit, very similar in appearance to a plum. The Davidson's Plum is unrelated to the common plum, but has a nice acid taste in its own right.
Description: Medium sized tree to about 30ft. Trees are slender,
with huge ornamental leaves. Flowers are borne in stocks off of the
trunk, followed by large clusters of fruits (often a hundred or more
in a cluster).
Hardiness: Hardy to at least 32F.

Growing Environment: Plants need moderate water and seem to grow well
in subtropical climates.
Propagation: By seeds.
Uses: Fruits can be eaten fresh, but they are most commonly used to make jams and wines.
Native Range: Native to rainforest regions of Australia.
