| Berries can be eaten. The shrub is commonly grown as an ornamental for its striking yellow/orange flowers that cover the plant during spring. |

Plant Cultivation |
| Samll bushy shrub usually to no more than 10ft. The Darwin's Barberry
is very hardy and can survive temperatures well below freezing (10-15F).
Grows well both in sun and shade. Beautiful yellow-orange blooms cover
the plant in spring, followed by small 1/2" berries. Berries may
attract birds. Grow in moist soil types, will grow in poorer soils.
Keep watered year-round. |
