Calabash Tree
Crescentia cujete

Large, hard, green skinned fruit that is not eaten, but has a variety of ornamental uses.

Description: Small tree to 25ft. Flowers bloom at night and in its native range are pollinated by bats. Fruits take about six months to ripen.

Hardiness: The calabash tree will survive some frost.
