Ibervillea sonora - Coyote Melon

Out of stock

4 seeds per pack. A rare find from Mexico, this vining member of the cucurbit family forms a large, woody caudex at its base. The gray caudex looks a bit like an elephant foot and lies dormant during the winter. During summer, vines sprout from the caudex and the plant can form small, bright red, melon-like fruits (which are not edible). Easy to grow in small containers. Extremely drought tolerant and lightly frost tolerant. A true conversation piece. #3362
